Hobbies/Interests: Watching sports, especially football, baseball and basketball; watching the Dr. Phil TV show; used to love to sew.
Family: 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson. Married 60 years to Weldon “Bud,” who is now deceased.
Occupation: Owned and operated a café in Claremont, Minn.
Secret of Longevity: “No drinking, no smoking.”
Interesting Facts: For most of her life, Elrose thought her birthday was May 25. When she was 90, she was notified by Social Security that it actually is May 24. Elrose didn’t use a walker or cane until she was over 100 years old, and she is proud of still having her own teeth. And by the way, she does not like raisins or onions.
