Rachael Evers, MSN, LNHA, LALD, RN

Executive Director

As our Executive Director, Rachael is responsible for leading day-to-day operations throughout the Mankato (Pathstone) campus and our two sister communities in St. Peter (Prairie Hill & Sand Prairie). The most rewarding time in her day is making meaningful connections with a variety of residents, their family members, Ecumen team members, and local community partners. Originally from Springfield, MN, Rachael first began working various roles in senior living at age 16. In college, she worked in an Ecumen community as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a registered nurse, where she first encountered our people-first culture. In 2020, Rachael returned to Ecumen here at Pathstone to help lead the continued growth of our expanding community.

Rachael’s favorite local places to visit are: Sibley Park for the walking trails, and the variety of shopping districts available in the greater Mankato area.

Away from work, Rachael keeps busy shuttling kids to sporting events and enjoying the outdoors on the family All-Terrain Vehicle.

Hayley Fast, LSW, ALDIR

Assistant Executive Director

As the Assistant Executive Director, Hayley is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and building strong relationships with residents, their families, and her team members in all areas of service across the Pathstone campus. In her role, Hayley also works with team members to help individuals and families navigate their options, process the many emotions that come with a transition to senior living, prepare for the move, and welcome everyone on their move-in day. She enjoys being part of the continuous effort to create the best possible experience for everyone in the community. Born and raised in Mankato, Hayley heard about Ecumen from friends and acquaintances who always spoke admirably about the organization, the living spaces, and the people. She joined Pathstone in 2024, bringing her individual talent, interests, and leadership to our growing community.

Hayley’s favorite local place to visit is Minneopa Falls, where she and her husband bring their two boys to explore the trails, walk down to the falls, and stop by the Bison range to look for the newest baby additions to the herd.

Away from work, Hayley is always on the go with her family as they spend a lot of time outdoors—at the lake, biking, hiking, and exploring new parks.

Annika Olson, LNHA, LALD

Assistant Executive Director

As our Assistant Executive Director, Annika is responsible for overseeing general operations of our Care Center for short-term transitional care and long-term care, as well as providing administrative support to the Care Center’s leaders and care team members. In her role, Annika gets to meet new residents and hear stories about their lives in their own words—it’s the part of her day she loves the most. When she’s not fielding questions about Care Center services, she enjoys learning about all facets of how we create a welcoming and strong community for residents and team members alike. Originally from the LaCrosse, Wisconsin area, Annika followed her heart to pursue a career at a faith-based organization and joined Ecumen Pathstone in 2024.

Annika’s favorite local amenities are not yet decided because she’s still exploring the Mankato area having recently relocated after five years living in the Twin Cities-Metro area while working on her undergraduate degree. She looks forward to finding her local faves of all kinds.

Away from work, Annika is pursuing her MBA and often dedicates her evenings and weekends to coursework. When she’s not working and studying, Annika enjoys reading and returning to Wisconsin for a restful stay at her family’s cabin.

Mike Pyan, RN, LALD

Clinical Director

As our Clinical Director, Mike is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance throughout our full continuum of care services while leading the team of experts and trainees who care for our residents and patients around the clock. His role keeps him in regular communication with team members, residents, and families to maintain a clear and compassionate understanding of clinical practice and individual needs. Mike respects the natural challenges presented by caring for the health and well-being of a large community of individuals and their families, and he enjoys working with team members of all skill sets as they grow and contribute to the quality care Ecumen is known to provide. Originally from Sleepy Eye, MN, Mike has served in senior care for the majority of his career and joined Ecumen in 2021. He believes in the importance of the work his team and the whole Pathstone community provide for the people we serve.

Mike’s favorite local places to visit are the state parks and a great assortment of social venues.

Away from work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and traveling to visit more state and national parks across the country.

Laura Templin

Senior Living Consultant

As a Senior Living Consultant at Pathstone, Laura is the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking a living space in our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities. Her favorite aspect of work is helping prospective residents and their families find the right living space for their needs, where her extensive experience in senior housing helps guide them to confident decisions from inquiry to move-in. She also enjoys seeing residents thrive once in the community, and attributes that success to their ability to age in place at a campus that offers a full continuum of care. Originally from Le Sueur, MN, Laura joined Pathstone in 2007 because she believes in the Ecumen mission and non-profit status, and loves being part of a senior living campus that’s committed to all levels of service.

Laura loves Mankato. Her favorite local places to visit include outdoor adventures, such as walking the Minnesota River Valley Trail, attending a concert at Vetter Stone Amphitheater, and shopping Old Town.

Away from work, Laura is most likely walking her Goldendoodle when she’s not attending one of her daughter’s many tournaments (volleyball, softball) or recitals (dance), or taking in an outdoor concert.

Marti Titus, TRS (Therapeutic Recreation Specialist)

Community Life Director

As our Community Life Director, Marti is responsible for overseeing our life enrichment programming, social services, transportation, and Adult Day services for the Mankato (Pathstone) and St. Peter (Prairie Hill & Sand Prairie) communities. Working directly with people seeking care services, Marti’s team of experts are an important resource for connecting individuals to the services that help them live in their home longer and transition gradually into the Pathstone community. Her team is also a trusted resource for county case managers who support individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness diagnosis, including their family caregivers who often seek respite services. The opportunity to serve people of all ages, diagnosis, and abilities is what fills Marti’s cup. Originally from Fulda, MN, Marti grew up volunteering at Banana BINGO, the daughter of a Licensed Practical Nurse working in Long-Term Care. As she planned her 720-hour college practicum, Marti chose Ecumen Pathstone to gain the greatest variety of experience from our full continuum of care. In 2012, days after finishing her practicum, Marti joined the Adult Day services team at Pathstone, and she now counts our campus as her home away from home.

Marti’s favorite local amenities are the walking trails in and around the Elysian and greater Mankato area. She also likes to support local businesses and loves to see the small business districts in the area growing successfully.

Away from work, Marti likes to travel with her husband and spend time outdoors, where she can often be found walking her dog, paddling her kayak, or reading in a hammock.
