John Scanlan, a resident of Ecumen Lakeview Commons, recently celebrated his 100th birthday and received a tribute from Oakdale, Minn., city officials as the city's first fire chief.
Brothers Bond through Truck Restoration During Family's Time of Need
Irene Linn, received an incredible tribute this Mother’s Day. Her five sons, to their friends and family known as “Da Boyz,” restored an ’80 Chevy pickup truck that once belonged to their father, who died in a farm accident when they were young. The brothers started the project following their mother’s Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis. The newly-updated truck was unveiled in front of many friends and neighbors. Ecumen Holiday Giving Campaign
The Ecumen Home Office conducted its annual Holiday Giving Campaign to collect gifts for Ecumen residents. Tags with items residents want are placed on the lobby Christmas tree, and employees buy those gifts for the residents.
This year, gifts were delivered to Ecumen Prairie Lodge in Brooklyn Center and Ecumen Lakeview Commons in Maplewood by the Sales & Marketing and Business Development team, pictured here.
