Ecumen has received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health for scholarships to fund training for Ecumen direct care employees in Home Care, Assisted Living and Adult Day Services.
The Housing and Community Based Services scholarship program, which was funded in the 2015 Minnesota legislative session, seeks to improve the education and skills of long-term care employees and provide them with a means of career advancement.
Scholarships for up to $1,000 per caregiver can be used for any type of training or degree program related to patient or client care. Scholarships may be for a single, one-day class or workshop, a degree program, and/or for books and fees related to an employee’s course of study.
Eligible employees who have questions may contact Ecumen Director of Development Sarah Hernandez at 651-766-4395 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
