Shawna Jokinen has been named Director of Operations — Home Care & Hospice at Ecumen.

Jokinen, who has been with Ecumen for 18 years, currently is Executive Director of Ecumen-managed Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Minn.  She has been an administrator at three Ecumen care centers and also has a strong background in home care.  As Executive Director of Home and Community Based Services at Ecumen Lakeshore, she was instrumental in successfully establishing and growing Ecumen’s home care services in the Duluth market.

In her new role, which begins October 12, 2015, Jokinen will focus on Ecumen’s strategic initiative to expand its home care and hospice services.

“Home care and hospice is one of Ecumen’s most exciting growth opportunities as people increasingly opt to stay in their homes as long as possible,” said Ecumen Senior Vice President of Operations and COO Shelley Kendrick in making the announcement.  “We are fortunate to have someone of Shawna’s experience and ability to lead our expansion efforts.”
