Ecumen honors Helen Hansen, who is 105.

Born: September 13, 1911, in Saint Paul, Minn. 

Residence: Ecumen Oaks & Pines in Hutchinson, Minn.                           

Hobbies/Interests: Bingo, spending time with family, shopping and travel. 

Family: 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Married to Ray, now deceased, for 48 years.

Secret to Longevity: “I never gave it a thought. I don’t know, I’m just lucky in a way I guess.”

Occupation: Working on the farm.  Did volunteer work after her husband died.

Interesting Facts: This summer Helen went fishing for the first time EVER! She can happily report she also caught her first fish! Never too late to try something new!
