Born: Jan. 8, 1916 in Parkville, Minn.

Residence: Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Minn.                      

Hobbies/Interests: Crochet, baking, picking wild blueberries, going to the cabin, watching football, playing canasta and gardening.  Favorite movie: “Gone with the Wind.”

Family: Married to Oswald, now deceased, for 52 years. Five children, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

Occupation: Store clerk and homemaker.

Secrets of Longevity: Drinking buttermilk every day and her Finnish heritage.

Interesting Facts: Lived and worked in New York City for a short time, visited Finland with her sister and niece and always had pop for the grandkids.
