This is National Assisted Living Week, and Ecumen is proud to honor our assisted living residents and their caregivers at our 32 communities as we celebrate this special week.

This year’s events and activities revolve around the theme “Nourishing Life: Mind, Body, Spirit.” The annual observance was created by the National Center for Assisted Living in 1995 to show our loved ones in assisted living how much we care and to celebrate the commitment and dedication of our assisted living caregivers.

Assisted living is a senior living option for seniors who require some help with daily activities but do not need around-the-clock skilled nursing care.

Assisted living communities strive to give residents as much independence as possible while offering services for such things as dining, housekeeping, laundry, fitness and social programs and help with medications and personal care.
