Ecumen Brooks in Owatonna, an assisted living community, held its 15th anniversary celebration on June 11, 2015, with an open house timed perfectly to coincide with a pouring rain.

“It didn’t just rain,” said Sales and Marketing Manager Kelly Maas.  “It came down in sheets.  But we still had a big crowd.  The turnout was great.  The food was great.  And it was a really cool event.”

Attendees socialized and took tours as local pianists played. In addition to the plentiful food, there were prize drawings, including donated items handmade by residents.

“People who had never been here before told me how comfortable and homey our community is,” Maas said.  “And they loved our beautiful backyard.”
