Former Star Tribune Reporter Joe Rigert and his wife reached the point where they had to leave their vintage home of 50 years and shed much of the “stuff” that documented their memories. 

“We all must deal with it at some time,” Joe writes, “sooner than you think, when the old house is too big and too old to clean and maintain, when there are too many stairs to climb, when we move or are forced to move.”
