Kathy Bakkenist, Ecumen's chief operating officer and senior vice president of strategy and operations, is public policy chair of the Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST). It is a national coalition of more than 400 technology companies, senior housing organizations, research universities and government representatives leading the national charge to develop and deploy technologies that can improve the aging experience in America. Under her leadership, Ecumen is introducing new technologies that promote successful aging.
QuietCare is a technology that helps to identify small health issues before they become larger ones. The information it provides dramatically opens up the lines of communication between family members and caregivers.
We are exploring new ways to help our customers reduce the risk for Alzheimer's Disease through technology. We are piloting [m]Power, the world's first cognitive fitness system, which is produced by Dakim. Ecumen is one of 11 senior housing companies participating in this pilot.
