Care Centers
Ecumen’s health care centers offer physical therapy and rehabilitation, long-term care and memory care. Short-term care is for those requiring rehabilitation after hospitalization. Long-term care assists those who need all-day assistance, medical care or security. We provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia.
Home Services
Many care needs can be met outside of a health care center or hospital. The comfort and privacy of one’s own home in a familiar surrounding, with caring people, plays a large part in one’s healing and general sense of well-being. Ecumen’s home health care and community-based services help people with a variety of needs that preserve independence and provide respite to family caregivers.

Congratulations to Ecumen's Volunteer of the Year - Frances Beck

What time did you wake up today?  Probably later than Ecumen volunteer of the year Frances Beck, 88, who delivers newspapers every day at 5:30 a.m. at Ecumen's Bethany Community in Alexandria, Minnesota.  Frances is everywhere:  At 7:30 a.m. she goes to the office and makes coffee and gets the cookie tray ready for visitors and residents. She helps deliver Meals on Wheels. She helps immobile residents get to and from activities and appointments. She points helps with tours. She's on the welcoming and social committees. (She's her own one-person welcoming committee!) Every Sunday, she assists with communion at the chapel . . . and more . . . and more.  And, amidst it all, she always has a beautiful smile that says "Welcome."  Frances thank you for helping us live our mission of creating home for older adults wherever they choose to live.
