Ecumen North Branch leader Pat Voelker recently had this letter published in the East Central Minnesota Post Review honoring Clayton Anderson who played a key role in Ecumen's creation of senior housing in North Branch.

Ecumen Bethany Community Receives Major Gift: $340,000

Ecumen Bethany Community announced this week a major donation of $340,000 from the estate of former residents Irene and Leonard Kalina.  The Kalinas lived together at Ecumen Bethany Home since 2006, until Irene’s death in 2009, followed by Leonard’s passing in January 2011.

St. Mark's Lutheran Home has closed on financing for a $13.4 million redevelopment and expansion of the Austin senior community campus. Renovation and expansion will add or enhance: assisted living apartments, memory care apartments, short-term rehabilitation services, long term care, occupational and physical therapy, gathering spaces and entryways.

Ecumen's Emmanuel Foundation Charity Benefit 2012 entertained 200 guests and raised $44,000 to support Emmanuel’s “Healthy Life & Spirit” program expansion and to purchase additional Nu Step exercise bikes and specialized beds.  “We are grateful for the people in this community and surrounding communities that support the good work of Emmanuel Community," said Fund Development Coordinator Sandy Lia.

Ecumen Bethany Community begins $3 Million Expansion

Big things are happening at Ecumen Bethany Community. Ecumen, a nonprofit senior housing and services company, is expanding senior living and service offerings in Alexandria. Ecumen Bethany Community recently started a $3 million renovation and expansion project that will improve short-term rehabilitation services and introduce memory care.
