Living Ecumen’s Values: Cynthia Whitcomb, Human Resources Specialist

When it comes to honoring and empowering employees, Cindy Whitcomb is a champion.

Throughout August, Ecumen is celebrating its 10th Best Place to Work honor from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal by recognizing employees who live our values every day.

When it comes to honoring and empowering employees, Cindy Whitcomb is a champion.  As the Human Resources Specialist at Ecumen of Litchfield, she is always looking out for the needs and interest of employees and finding ways to creatively support staff and make our team better.

Whenever we are debating a policy or an issue, I can always count on Cindy to ask: “How will this affect our employees?”  She is an enthusiastic advocate with an always-positive approach.

Not only is she looking out for the best interests of our site but also for the company as a whole. Recently, when several employees had to leave to go to college, Cindy was able to relocate them in jobs at Ecumen sites close to their schools.

I love how Cindy greets me in the morning.  She asks: “What can I do for you today?” Throughout the day, her door is always open, and she is ready to help with creative ideas and generous support across all our departments.

Thank you, Cindy, for honoring and empowering us with your enthusiastic encouragement. Your continuous attention to employee needs makes Ecumen of Litchfield a Best Place to Work!
