Language Matters: Please Don’t Say ‘Elderly’

To change the way we think about aging, we need to change the way we talk about aging.

In a recent issue of Forbes, Robin Seaton Jefferson makes her case for more sensitive language in an article titled “Addressing How We Talk About Aging Never Gets Old: 'Whatever You Do, Don't Say Elderly'”.

The tide is starting to turn, Jefferson writes, as companies in the “anti-aging” business are beginning to understand that they are framing aging all wrong.
