Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead is hosting a “Scrubs Camp” to give middle and high school students an opportunity to explore healthcare careers firsthand.  On Wednesday, KVRR in Fargo-Moorhead covered a day of camp featuring students, residents and some visiting alpacas.

"We've brought in animals before for pet therapy, and we thought it would be a good way to merge the students with the residents," said Jadie Winters, RN Clinical Director for Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead.

Scrubs Camp is a collaborative project between HealthForce Minnesota, educational institutions, and healthcare employers, Scrubs Camps are offered throughout the summer at multiple locations.  Campers experience a variety of interactive hands-on activities and special field trips to get them excited about careers in the health sciences. Sessions are led by healthcare professionals and/or faculty from several area colleges and universities.
