The Ambulance Wish Foundation, a Dutch nonprofit, is helping those in hospice experience one final request. The organization's main message states, "Positive end-of-life experiences are far too important to pass up." Like the individuals they serve, the final wishes of their patients are all extremely special and unique.

Evan Porter's article, "7 Powerful Photographs of Terminally Ill Patients Living Out Their Final Wishes" describes the organization's mission and the powerful images of hospice patients living out their last wishes.

I absolutely loved this story

I absolutely loved this story . . . what a heartwarming and beautiful way of serving our residents all the way through to the end of their lives . . .

This is such a wonderful idea

This is such a wonderful idea--what amazing photos ... and experiences! And it answers a recent question I'd thought of: Does anyone provide hospice services out in nature? The photo of the patient and giraffe is spectacular. If hospices in the U.S are not yet offering these 'last wishes' options, they should!
